On both of these days, merchants and companies offer tremendous deals and discounts on their products to lure customers.
Although, both originated in the USA, nowadays have become global ideas; especially, among capitalist nations like Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Austria, Canada, France, Spain, Sweden, Australia, India, Romania, Japan, etc.
Along with the two most popular days, the shopping week contains some other names too:
- Green Monday
- Small Business Saturday
- Giving Tuesday
- Black Thursday, etc.
What Are The Core Differences Between Black Friday & Cyber Monday?
Even after being associated with the Christmas shopping season, both days have some core differences.
Here are the two main among them:
1. First of all, Black Friday shopping is an old idea that started in the middle of the 20th century (1952-1961).
Early, the Police administration in Philadelphia & Rochester (New York) used the term to describe the turmoiled day after Thanksgiving because of the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.
Contrary, Cyber Monday is quite a new idea, debuted on 28th November 2005. However, within a very short span of time, it has become an immensely big day for online shopping.
2. The second major difference is that Black Friday is associated with both online and offline shopping.
But Cyber Monday is entirely based on online shopping or digital transactions, it has no connection with offline transactions.
